James Holschen Jr. was born on July 18, 1978 in Portland, OR. His family moved to Spokane in 1987 where he grew up 3 blocks from Chief Garry Park. He graduated with honors from Faith Baptist Academy in 1996 and is currently a Government major at Eastern Washington University.

    James and his wife Leslie are raising three children, James III – 3, Megan – 2, and Ethan – 5 months. Their desire is to work to secure a brighter future for their children.

    For the last 10 years James has worked at and managed the Arctic Circle Restaurant in downtown Spokane. During this time he has gained valuable experience in small business operation and in dealing with governmental agencies. He understands the needs of small business owners to support their families and is aware of the many challenges they face. He has dealt first hand with needles bureaucracy and understands the need for reform and change.

    James Holschen has a great love of history and the American Government. He believes that our founding fathers sought to guarantee a republican form of government to each and every citizen of the United States of America. This guarantee is being threatened by endless regulation and red tape, and by politicians who place personal gain ahead of public service. He is committed to doing what is right in order to secure a brighter future for everyone in the 3^rd District.
