I did install the new heads and cam on the original 327 (which was converted to a 350) but ran into a small snag, so I ended up going to a pull & save junk yard and buying a 4-bolt, 350 short block. With the new block, I installed the new "camel humb" heads and cam. I went to the drag strip to see what the car would do and the best it ran was a 13.006 at 105 MPH through the exhaust. I ended up winning the trophy at 13.05 at 102 MPH. I believe on a cooler night it would break a 12.99. If I were racing in Oregon, I would be running 12.50's. Now that the car is fast enough, I need to start saving up for a paint job & vinyl top. NOTE: I won first timers but this was not my first time racing. You get the opportunity to run first timers twice in a season, and I like to run it so that I can get more time trials/passes at the track. If I lose out of first timers, I still get to race in my bracket.

13.006 @ 105 MPH. The date was 08/26/2000. I ran a total of 9 passes and this timeslip was my best Newspaper clip showing my win at the racetrack. I won the trophy with a 13.05 @ 102.26 MPH
