The VIN (vehicle identification number) that represents your 68 or 69 Camaro, will be stamped on a plate attached to metal dash panel on driver's side, which is visible through the windshield. On 67 Camaros, it will be stamped on a plate attached to left front body hinge pillar (inside door jam), driver's side. By decoding this number, you can tell valuable information about the car. |

NOTE: In 1967, the unit number started at 100,001. In 1968 it started at 300,001. In 1969, it started at 500,001. Each year started with the number listed above and up at each plant regardless of series. |
