| While in the military, stationed in Portland, Oregon, I purchased the Camaro "Rally Sport" on December 5, 1994 in Salem, Oregon. Now that I am the legal second owner, I guess I can tell the story of the original owner. He had purchased the car on June 4, 1968 from Hutchins Chevrolet in Fillmore, Utah. The original owner was driving around the Las Vegas strip, while on vacation, and a young lady saw the car and said: "I want to meet the guy that is driving that car," they did and several months later, he moved to Salem, Oregon because that's were she lived. The original motor had 204 thousand miles on it and still ran like a champ. I bought the car as a unrestored original, which came with the original owners manual, protect-o-plate (mint condition), receipts (dating back to 1973, apparently the original owner lost some when he moved from Utah to Oregon), keys, jack etc... The car had rust in the truck & minimal rust around back window. What 60's car doesn't! The fenders & doors had no trace of rust |
