CHEVROLET ORANGE Engine block including oil pan, harmonic balancer, water pump, heads (except all aluminum heads), and valve covers (except big block and Z/28). The number pad was not painted. The bell housing and exhaust manifolds received orange over spray. the ZL-1 block remained natural along with the cylinder heads. The oil pan, timing cover, and water pump were painted black. SEMI-FLAT BLACK PAINT Air cleaner and base, alternator bracket, harmonic balancer pulley (except big block), coil, engine fan, PCV tube from back of block, power steering pump and brackets, radiator, voltage regulator cover, water pump pulley, and wheels (except rally wheels). UNPAINTED/UNPLATED FINISHES Bail wires, balancer pulley on the big block, clutch return spring connecting rod, copper ground straps, dipstick handles, front and rear springs, fuel and brake lines, *rear end, sway bar, center link, tie rod ends, adjusting sleeves, and throw out fork (orange over spray on fork). * The rear end housings appear to have come in three different finishes   1)   Plain   2)   Black   3)   Bottom-black, Top-plain BLACK OXIDE Bellhousing bolts, bumper brackets (front and rear), distributor hold-down clamp, exhaust manifold bolts, fender bolts, hood pin spring, PCV hose clamps, transmission crossmember, water pump bolts, and heater hose snap clamps (also red). GREY PHOSPHATE The grey phosphate ranged in color from light to very dark. Accelerator rod and lever, accelerator spring and linkage, clutch cross shaft and clutch linkage, clutch return spring, hood hinges and springs, and hood latch. PLATED Alternator, air conditioning, and smog pump mounting bolts, alternator fan, alternator (high-performance) pulleys, choke cover, distributor vacuum pot, fuel tank, gas cap, hose clamps, jack post, and windshield washer nozzles. CADMUIM DICHROMATE PLATED Master cylinder cover, power brake booster, smog pump valves, and proportioning valve support bracket. GRAY PAINTED Jack adapter, mechanism and base; shock absorbers, and space saver spare tire rim. UNDERBODY OF CAR The underbody appears to have received black or grey primer. Also there has been cars seen with a light body color paint. Under the trunk area, the car received the exterior body color. Under the hood area was painted black. The subframe received semi-gloss black paint.
